There's nothing quite like it--700 Little Leaguers suited up for another year marching around the field of the Belmont Sports Complex before heading to their respective dugouts to await the first pitch.

Opening day of Belmont-Redwood Shores Little League will take place Saturday morning at 8:30 a.m. at the Belmont Sports Complex.

After the parade of teams and 400 volunteers, in what organizers say will be a short and sweet ceremony, games will begin on diamonds throughout Belmont.

One of the morning's highlights will be acknowledgements of the graduating 12-year-old players who will be playing their final year of Little League ball.

As is tradition, the first official game will take place at the Marina Field at the BSC between two Majors teams: Giants vs. Cubs at 10 a.m.
