Photo of the Day: Sunday Morning Cricket at Fox
An enthusiastic group of cricket players meets at Fox Elementary School on Sunday mornings.
Cricket, one of the world's most popular games, is played between two teams of 11 players on the field. On Sunday, the grass field and part of the blacktop at Fox Elementary School became a cricket field for a group of friends who are obviously passionate about the game.
Even though the equipment and some of the terminology is basically the same---bats, balls, bases, innings, outs and runs--it's a complicated game to the newcomer.
But the enthusiasm of the players and fans is contagious, and after some careful observation on a lazy late Sunday morning, on a school field normally full of young soccer player, it's impossible not to cheer for the batsman, AND the bowler.
