Grand Re-Opening of Twin Pines Senior & Community Center Set for Friday

The public is invited to the gala, which will include refreshments and a performance by the Magnolia Jazz Band.

The tile is down,  new carpet is installed, fresh paint has dried and the only thing left is to officially welcome the community to the unveiling of the spruced up Twin Pines Senior & Community Center.

The re-opening gala will be this Friday, Jan. 31 at 1:30 p.m. The Belmont Parks and Recreation Department invites the pubic invited to tour the center and celebrate the completion of the project.

The project is entirely funded from a grant from the Community Development Block Grant Program administered by San Mateo County and a generous donation from the estate of William Pearce.

Organizers say refreshments will be served and live music will be provided by the Magnolia Jazz Band.

"The project is a tribute to the community that has been created through 25 years of programs and activities in the Twin Pines Senior & Community Center," said Belmont City Manager Greg Scoles in his Weekly Update newsletter.
