Are You a 'Berry' Good Photographer?

The Pacific Coast Farmers' Market Association (PCFMA) is calling all farmers' market fans with an eye for photography to capture the vibrancy of the local market.

Our local farmers' markets have it all for shoppers looking for locally-produced organic foods. Right now, it's peak season for tangy tomatoes, juicy peaches and sweet berries.

While you're enjoying the fruits, celebrate National Farmers' Market Week, through August 10.

The pictures will be entered into the "Love My Market" photo competition running throughout August, with a chance to win a two night retreat at Lone Oak Ranch in Reedley.

“We’re really excited about National Farmers’ Market Week,” said John Silviera, Director of PCFMA, as quoted in a press release.

“It’s a great opportunity to highlight the benefits of farmers’ markets and we’ll be celebrating with a lot of fun activities and giveaways at our markets.”

To take part in the competition, snap a photo that captures why you love the Farmers' Market, email the photo to lovemymarket@pcfma.com. Remember to include the name of the market where the photo was taken.

The Belmont Farmers' Market is held each Sunday from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Caltrain parking lot.
