Moira Fordyce,MD can answer these questions and many more that you may have for her at the February General Meeting of the San Carlos AAUW (American Assoc. of University Women) She has been a doctor since 1962. As a geriatrician, she is an adjunct Clinical Professor of Medicine, Stanford University School of Medicine and is Vice Chair of the American Geriatrics Society Public Education Committee. She has published articles and her textbook, Geriatric Pearls is used in medical, nursing and physical therapy programs. She is associate editor of “Eldercare at Home”, a guide for caregivers. She has testified in Sacramento before the CA State Aging and Long Term Care subcommittee on caregiver health issues. She was Senator Barbara Boxer’s delegate to the White House Conference on Aging in 2005.
Dr. Fordyce has practiced geriatrics for 24 years in America. Before that, she spent 14 years in a diverse medical practice in England and Scotland. She is currently working on the second edition of her sold-out text, Geriatric Pearls.
