Belmont Soccer League To Honor NDNU Saturday

Players and coaches will show their appreciation to the university's leaders for their support of youth soccer.

NDNU's Koret Field, once a point of contention between the City of Belmont and university officials over use and noise issues, is now a hub of sports activity shared by college teams and the Belmont United Soccer Club (BUSC).

This Saturday, Oct. 13, BUSC president Saverio Ferme, along with coaches, players, parents and fans, will host Belmont United Day at Koret Field and will honor NDNU leaders in a ceremony that will take place at halftime during the men's 11:00 a.m. game.

"During the event we plan to honor NDNU's president Judith Grieg, athletic director Josh Doody, community outreach director Maureen Freschet, and communication's director Richard Rossi for their support of our youth soccer programs," said Ferme.
